The CYPRN issues an annual, open call for the establishment of new Research Development Groups.
The CYPRN established 12 Research Development Groups (RDG'S) in 2009. These groups are spread across Wales and reflect a wide range of research across the field of Children's health. The groups reflect strong collaboration across institutions in Wales and the rest of the UK. They provide the creative drive for the Network in the development of new research.
The groups are:
Childhood Diabetes - proposals to address the delivery of psychosocial care
Antenatal ultrasound findings as markers of child health outcomes
Midwifery and Reproductive Health: Waterbirth - health outcomes for babies
Chronic Lung Disease and pulmonary hypertension
Fractures in pre-school children
Risk factors and barriers for help seeking in early onset alcohol misuse
Children and young people's well being - focusing on childhood obesity, inactivity and children's rights
Child Cohort Development Group
Respiratory patterns in the immature respiratory system
Children and Long Term Ventilation
