This network will also interdigitate with the recently established clinical respiratory interest group which has been revived by Dr Carol Sullivan from Swansea. To expand the network; currently there are seven hospitals involved in South and South East Wales. Through the Welsh Paediatric Society the secondary aim of this group is to involve West and North Wales. To develop studies acute respiratory illness in children. To develop full grant applications. The two areas for pilot study development will be pneumonia and bronchiolitis.
