The MCRN Activity in North Wales
The MCRN works with NISCHR CRC in North Wales to support specific paediatric studies. The Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales Local Research Network of the MCRN employ a Research Nurse to support the following studies:
• EMSC - (Early morning salivary cortisol) in children receiving inhaled corticosteroids – Wrexham Maelor Hospital
• EPIC – Evidence into Practice: evaluating a child centred intervention for diabetes medicine management – Wrexham Maelor Hospital
• HiVAT – Assessing the impact and safety of home intravenous antibiotic treatment (IVAT) for children with CF – Wrexham Maelor Hospital and Glan Clwyd Hospitals.
• ICSS – International Neonatal Immunotherapy Study – Wrexham Maelor and Glan Clywd Hospitals.
